Using Icons8 in Divi

A quick guide to creating your own custom icon font using, preparing it for upload to Divi and then using in your projects.

The step-by-step

Create a free account

Create a free account on You’ll need a registered account in order to download your icon font as a font instead of just as a PNG.

Build your icon font

Select the icons you want to use and add them to a collection. Be sure to change the name of the collection to something unique as this is the name icons8 will give to your font when you download it.

Change the name of the collection to be something unique

Each icon set you upload to Divi Upload Icons needs to have a unique name. The name you give the collection in icons8 will be the name of the font files in the download package.

Get your font

Instead of click the download button, you’ll want to click the Get Font button. This will download the icons you’ve added to your collect as a web font, which is what Divi uses for it’s icons.

Make sure all files in the icon font have the same name

Normally all of your font files will already have the same name, which is good. 99% of the time, however, your CSS file will just be called style.css. Be sure to rename this file so that it matches the name of the font fils associated with this icon set.

All files must have identical names.

Upload your icon set to Divi Upload Icons

You’re ready to upload your files! Simply drag them into the uploader on the plugin settings page and once the uploader finishes it’s job your new icons will be available to use in the Visual Builder as well as the standard backend Divi Builder.

You don't need 2400+ icons.

You need the right icons.
